NRA Pistol Defensive courses

From foundational skills to advanced tactical applications, our NRA-certified courses are designed to build confidence and proficiency in pistol handling and defensive techniques.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! The course is the first step for you to obtain the proper certification for your concealed carry permit in some states. Be sure to contact your county, city or state to find out whether this course fulfills the requirement. Qualify for your concealed carry permit the right way with the NRA.

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course is aimed to learn the Fundamental of Pistol shooting. For beginners or firearm enthusiasts that need a refresher course, this is the start to improve your shooting skill. This training also qualifies registrants for CA DOJ FSC (Firearms Safety Certificate for $25.00) which is needed to buy a firearm in CA for new shooters. The NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) program was developed to support the demand for the growing number of gun ranges that need an RSO to operate in a safe and friendly environment within their ranges. NRA Basic Personal Protection in the Home Course participants must be experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic Pistol Course Certificate, NRA First Steps Course Certificate, NRA pistol competitive shooting qualification card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification (within 3 years after separation), or passing the Pre-Course Assessment. NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside the Home Course participants must be experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the advance skills of safely drawing pistol/revolver from the holster, shooting a close group, sight alignment and sight picture) to maximize what can be learned from this course. Student/s should have taken the Basic Personal Protection in the Home to enroll from this course. Completion of this course covers San Diego, CA Sheriff CCW initial 16/renewal 8 hrs. safety certificate. Payment can be made to ZELLE/VENMO-(619) 861-2205/ @Reynaldo-Halili / rey.halili562@gmail.com. NRA Defensive PistolTo develop knowledge, skills and attitude to carry and use a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. Completion of this course covers San Diego, CA Sheriff CCW initial 16/8 and 8 hrs. renewal safety certificate. Payment can be made to ZELLE/VENMO-(619) 861-2205 / @Reynaldo-Halili / rey.halili562@gmail.com. A non-refundable advance payment of $250.00 to reserve a spot for this training. Range fee is $30.00 payable @ Range 6.

CCW vendor services

As an approved San Diego Sheriff CCW vendor, we guide you through the process of obtaining or renewing your concealed carry permit, ensuring you meet all requirements.

The initial CCW course fee is $375.00 and an additional $25.00 per pistol that will be included in your CCW certificate.

For renewal, the CCW course fee is $200.00 and an additional $25.00 per pistol that will be included in your CCW certificate.

I schedule every day except Wednesday of the week at South Bay Rod and Gun Club

Payment for the course can be made 3 days prior live fire proficiency including the number of firearm/s you want to be included in your certificate.
